MRC Pontiac Warden Jane Toller would like to see an increase in the percentage of the population that has been vaccinated. Last week, statistics from the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l’Outaouais showed that 62.4% of the Pontiac’s population had received their first dose.

« If we want to end COVID-19, we have to have a better percentage of people vaccinated. Obviously, at the moment, many people may say to themselves that there are no cases in the region, but the situation may change and I ask those that may not have had time to do so, to make an appointment this summer to receive their first dose of vaccine. »

Toller added that it is possible to receive a vaccination at a pharmacy or at the vaccination centre in Campbell’s Bay. At the beginning of the week, the CISSS de l’Outaouais unveiled the schedule for a mobile vaccination clinic in the Pontiac, which is available here.
