The outgoing mayor of Fort Coulonge, Debbie Laporte, granted an interview to CHIP 101,9 to explain the reasons why she decided to run as councilor for position 4. Visibly touched by the comments of her constituents, Laporte stressed that her health does not allow her to fulfill the task of mayor. She added that she wishes to obtain the confidence of the citizens of the village to regain her councillor post, which she occupied prior to the resignation of Gaston Allard last year.
In the interview, Laporte thanked different organizations, the other council members and the citizens of Fort Coulonge for the past year.
