The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will hold four virtual information sessions in May under the theme “I am running for municipal elections 2021” for the citizens of the Outaouais. These meetings aim to inform people and encourage them to stand as councilor or mayor in the next municipal elections.

Organized by the Direction régionale de l’Outaouais, these sessions will notably address the nomination process, municipal organization and the role of elected officials, thus providing a better understanding of involvement in municipal politics. Finally, a question period and discussions will take place to close the event.

Those interested simply write to dr.outaouais@mamh.gouv.qc.ca specifying the date of the chosen session. They will then receive the link to connect to the activity. Registration is also possible via the Facebook page of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
