The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) reported that a Quebec resident working in the Renfrew County District territory has received a positive result for COVID- 19.

RCDHU says it works with the local employer and that it has identified potentially exposed workers who have received specific instructions on self-isolation and self-monitoring for symptoms associated with the novel coronavirus.

According to the Health Unit, there are currently no laboratory-confirmed cases in the county and district of Renfrew as of March 24, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.

RCDHU also wants to assure residents that it continues to monitor the situation of COVID-19 in the County on a daily basis. Adding that the RCDHU must prioritize testing for the most vulnerable populations due to a shortage of equipment to carry out tests across Canada.
