Gatineau girl, 17, in critical condition after car crash
A 17-year-old from Gatineau is in critical condition in hospital after the car she was a passenger in was involved in a collision at an intersection late Tuesday night.
Gatineau police said the collision happened at the intersection of Greber Boulevard and the Boulevard de la Vérendrye at about 10:50 p.m.
The 18-year-old woman driving the car failed to stop at the intersection when her car collided with another vehicle, police said.
The driver and passenger were trapped in the car for a few minutes before help arrived. The driver suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle — a man in his forties — was not injured, police said.
The intersection was closed as police investigated but reopened Wednesday morning.
