More than 3,000 Hydro One customers in Eastern Ontario were still without power Wednesday after thunderstorms and high winds blew through the area causing power outages Monday evening.

Hydro One said more than 2,300 customers in Arnprior and Perth are still experiencing power outages. They hope to have 1,200 of the outages repaired in Arnprior by Wednesday night and the remainder restored Thursday.

In Bancroft and Cobden, more than 900 customers are also still without power. Customers in Bancroft can expect power restoration around 3:30 p.m. Thursday and in Cobden by 11 p.m.

According to Hydro One, Monday evening’s high winds blew over hydro poles and power lines in the area, with some damage to lines by fallen trees.
