Quebec City second safest city in Canada
Quebec City has been reported as one of the safest cities in Canada, ranking second after Guelph.
According to a Statistics Canada report released Tuesday, the rate of police-reported crime across the country in 2011 dropped six percent since 2010, falling to its lowest point since 1972.
Despite the drops, the country's homicide rate went up by seven percent, mostly driven by increases in Quebec and Alberta.
Manitoba recorded the highest homicide rate in Canada for the fifth year in a row.
