Fire in Gatineau Apartment Building Called Suspicious
Police are treating a fire at an apartment building in Gatineau as suspicious.
According to Gatineau Police, the blaze in a second-storey apartment at 352 Gauthier St. began at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Gatineau Fire says all of the tenants in the five-unit, two-storey building were evacuated.
The apartment where the blaze started and one below it suffered fire and water damage.
All other tenants of the building were able to return to their homes.
No one was injured and damage has yet to be estimated.
Gatineau Police detectives are investigating.
