Outaouais cops nab two impaired drivers
The Ottawa Sun is reporting that two drivers, including one woman who passed a police car on a solid double line, were nabbed for impaired driving overnight by MRC des Collines police in the Outaouais.
In Cantley, police nabbed a suspected impaired driver along Montee de la Source. The 22-year-old Gatineau man had a probationary license, which means the driver is not allowed to have any alcohol in their bloodstream. He faces a fine of $444 and had his license suspended for 90 days.
In Chelsea, a 33-year-old woman was arrested for driving while impaired. Police say the woman passed a patrol car on a solid double line while travelling north along Hwy. 105. Police stopped her and she failed a roadside sobriety test.
She was taken to the police station and eventually charged with failing to provide a breath sample.
Her car was seized for 30 days and her license suspended for 90 days.
