Would you like to incorporate more calcium, fiber and iron in the diet of your children during summer vacation? Or cut the fat and sodium? It is not always easy to read and understand the Nutrition Facts table found on food packaging.

This is why the education campaign on the Nutrition Facts table was created to provide consumers with the information they need to make better food choices for your health.

Elaine De Grandpre, who is a registered dietitian at Health Canada, explains what it is.

Research conducted by Health Canada show that most consumers visit the Nutrition Facts table on packaged foods, but they do not know how to use it when choosing foods.
