Open house at Professional the Training Centre
On January 18th, there was an open house a CFP-Pontiac to promote the trades and professions available at the center. DEP programs are: Secretarial, Accounting, Health, Assistance and Nursing, auto mechanics, light vehicles mechanics and firearms.
High school students from Sieur de Coulonge and students from general education for adults came to visit and interact with teachers in these programs. They had the opportunity to see and manipulate the materials used in the various formations. Guest speaker, Gerry Phillips, gave a presentation to students from Sieur de Coulonge and those of vocational training (CFP-Pontiac) on the new industrial park in Portage-du-Fort.
Mr. Phillips said that jobs will need to be filled in the future in this business park.
In addition to the DEP the Secretarial and accounting, two courses will start soon: PEF Health, assistance and nursing care will begin February 6th of this year. Also, training in recreational tourism will begin March 5, 2012. For registration, please contact Nicole Marion at 819 683-1419.
