29 September 2022 à 12:00 am

Back in July, a 20-year-old man from Mansfield-et-Pontefract pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault against two victims.

In a decision rendered at the Campbell’s Bay Courthouse by Judge Réal Lapointe, Antoine Durocher will be under court-ordered supervision for two years. He will have to undergo therapy and will be prohibited from communicating with or being the presence of his victims. He will also have to complete 240 hours of community service within 18 months.

It should be noted that anyone who has been the victim of or witness to a crime, regardless of the nature or severity, can contact the Crime Victims Assistance Centre (CAVAC).

The local CAVAC representative, Janie Landry, is available at 1-877-648-2764 and the CAVAC’s general line is 1-866-LECAVAC (532-2822).
