Tribute to the victims of the Humboldt Broncos in the Pontiac

Yesterday morning, children aged 4 and 5 from the kindergarten class of École St. Pierre’s had a minute of silence to honor the 16 victims of the Humboldt Broncos hockey team bus crash tragedy . A remembrance photo was published on the CSHBO Facebook page. Also yesterday École secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge, paid homage to the Saskatchewan team as did the students at Pontiac High School in Shawville. Students were asked to don a sports jersey to commemorate the victims.

On Friday, April 6, a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos team collided with a semi-trailer truck near the municipality of Tisdale, Saskatchewan. The team consisted of 24 players from Western Canada, aged 16 to 21 years old. The tragedy killed 16 people and left 13 wounded, some of whom are reported to be in critical condition.
