Transcollines announced the deployment of evening and weekend public transportation service starting January 4, which will have an impact for customers in the MRC Pontiac and the Municipality of Pontiac bound for the Gabrielle-Roy campus at the Cégep de l’Outaouais.
The Director of Development and Planning, Benoit Legros, explains that this addition will have an impact on students and will even allow a reduction in public transport costs with bus services located in urban areas.
Transcollines aimed to increase the frequency of public transport in the Pontiac, unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic slowed down the organization’s plans but as Benoit Legros explains, this goal is only somewhat delayed. “We’re just going to take more time to do things correctly, but we should be able to achieve our goals in 2021,” explains Benoit Legros.
Details of the 2021 routes, schedule and prices are available on the Transcollines website.
