Three young people were seriously injured following a single-vehicle accident on Hwy. 148 in Luskville early Sunday (August 22) morning. According to MRC des Collines Police officer Matthew Dallieres, at around 2:13 a.m., police responded to a vehicle that had left the road and struck a tree near 3361 Hwy. 148, in the Luskville sector of the Municipality of Pontiac.

He said that the driver of the vehicle and the front passenger were in intensive care with serious injuries but as of this afternoon, they were in stable condition. The back passenger’s condition was dire enough that they had to be transferred to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).

Dallieres said that alcohol and drugs were not the cause of the accident.

More to come.
