The incumbent MP from the Pontiac, William Amos, assisted to the visit of the suggested National Park (Parc National) last week, located in the Îles Lafontaine. Amos said he took interest in the project, without necessarily take a position:

During this conversation, there were also discussions about an environmental study, and the need for it or not. This is what Will Amos had to say on the subject:

Last week, the project promoter, Joe Kowalski, said that an environmental study would be ’’nice’’, but is not necessary for the continuation of the project.
