As with the first dose, opening the appointment modification will be done in the order of priority established by age group. As of June 7, people aged 80 and over will be able to advance their appointment for the second dose of vaccine by going to the page www.quebec.ca/vaccinCOVID. Note that it is the attained age that will be considered when receiving the vaccine, and not the year of birth
– Christian Dubé, Minister of Health

Note that people should make sure they have an interval of 8 weeks or more between the two doses. When you make a new appointment to advance the second dose, the one that was made for the first dose will be automatically canceled. It will also be possible to move your appointment online to get the second dose of AstraZeneca

The vaccination campaign continues to progress well. Our vaccination teams have done an exceptional job over the past few months. We are continuing this momentum and since we will receive large quantities of vaccines in the coming weeks, it will be possible to bring forward his appointment for the second dose. I remind people who have not yet made their first dose to do so. Many are impatiently waiting for their second dose and the time slots will fill up quickly
– Christian Dubé.

The goal is for all Quebecers to be adequately vaccinated before August 31st.
