Our journalist Élizabeth Séguin attended the meeting and was able to get comments of the new president of the FQM, Jacques Demers who speaks of the importance of local decision making and local services;

Mr. Demers also praised some items in the liberals provincial budget ;

Among the administrators of the FQM was Chantal Lamarche, MRC de la Vallée-de-la-Gatineau’s Warden, who identifies with the realities of the MRC Pontiac.

She would like to team up with Jane Toller in the near future to set up new joint projects. Ms. Lamarche was not the only representative of the Outaouais. The mayor of the municipality of Ripon dans la Petite-Nation, Luc Desjardins, was also at the meeting.
