Enviro Éduc-Action and its partners recently unveiled the 45 projects participating in the 2020 edition of the environmental excellence competition, Les Vertuoses. For the second edition, the competition has 45 candidates, divided into 6 categories: Youth; Business ; NPOs and associations; MRC, Municipalities and Cities; Events; and Eco-responsible families.

As for the MRC Pontiac, the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac has developed an initiative that combines entrepreneurship and waste management.

In collaboration with the Sieur de Coulonge High School, the project developed by their students, aims to educate them about the system for recycling PLA and PLU plastics, which are materials used in 3D printers. The students then use the extracts from these devices to create brand new products.

Citizens have the opportunity to to vote, which started on September 07, and that ends on the 27th. The project with the most votes will be revealed on October 22, during a virtual recognition evening.
