The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais confirmed yesterday at a press conference what had been said by Premier François Legault the day before, namely that the entire Outaouais health region is back to the maximum alert level (red zone) and that the city of Gatineau and the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais will have specific and additional containment measures.
“This change of level is necessary given the significant increase in new cases. Exceptional measures must be put in place to curb the spread of the virus, accelerated by the variants. Note in particular that in the red zone, restaurants must close dining rooms, "said the CISSS de l’Outaouais in a press release released yesterday (April 1).
“As the long Easter break approaches, it is important to remember that in areas on the orange or red levels, unnecessary social contact is not allowed. Following the passage in the red zone for the Outaouais, the CISSS de l’Outaouais is asking the population for a collective effort while the COVID-19 situation is worrying and its spread is rapid in the region ”, reiterated the CISSS of the Outaouais.
