The CCOF at the Mansfield municipal meeting last Wednesday

The municipal meeting held in the Municipality of Mansfield last Wednesday brought together some fifty residents, several of whom expressed their dissatisfaction and frustrations regarding the claims of the Residents Committee open to the amalgamation.

One resident criticized the council for not answering his questions.

André Boisvert of the Residents Committee open to the amalgamation also found deplorable the fact that no member of the Mansfield City Council was present at the public meeting of the committee, held in Fort-Coulonge on May 25th.

The Municipal Council reacted by reiterating that the proposed consolidation was not in the plans of the municipality. The members of the Residents Committee promised to touch on the subject again in the coming weeks.
