Sûreté du Québec: road safety operations

All police forces in the Outaouais and Upper Laurentians held a road safety operation on April 5 as part of the national initiative that took place from March 30 to April 5 focusing on seatbelts. Officers paid close attention to the proper use of seatbelt by all on the road and ramped up their operations against offending drivers.

Every year about 30% of drivers and passengers who die in collisions did not buckled up. Sergeant Marc Tessier from the Sûreté du Québec elaborates;

The operation also aimed to raise awareness of the importance of road safety.
