Citizens and elected officials in the Pontiac region still have a chance to voice their opinions regarding the boundaries of the new “special intervention zone”, as partly implemented by the Government of Quebec during today’s public consultation. The Warden of the MRC, Jane Toller, told CHIP in an interview that, on behalf of the MRC, she will be present to give a presentation on the finding of the MRC during the peak of the floods.

The public consultation is currently underway, having started at 3pm, and according to the Warden of the MRC, the proposed changes in the flood zones by the CAQ government are greatly exaggerated:

A public meeting is being held at the RA Centre in Campbell’s Bay and more details will be available soon. It is also possible to send a comment by emailing: zis2019@mamh.gouv.qc.ca

The complete interview with Jane Toller is available here.
