Skating Through the Forest, located in Lac-des-Loups in the municipality of La Peche, are hoping to open soon. The owner of the project, Dave Mayer, says that the 3km long ice skating trail in the heart of the forest adjacent to a snowshoe/ hike trail is in great condition :

Different activities will be organized during the skating season. Mayer still needs to figure out if they are viable.

Day rates are $13 for adults, $9 for children from 6 to 17 years old and it’s free for children 5 and under. There will be a canteen on site with hot dogs, chips, soup and beverages. Guests can also bring their own meals. More information about the opening day will be available soon on the Skating Through the Forest website.

A complete interview in French with Dave Mayer is available here..
