Shawville Fair: final preparations before the big weekend

With only a few hours before the start of the 162nd Shawville Fair, CHIP 101.9 spoke with one of the organizers Charleen Moore, about the activities this weekend.

This year, you can expect performances by High Valley Alberta artist Meghan Patrick, who was named the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) female artist of 2017. Other artist performing this weekend including Brea Lawrenson, Rainwater Whiskey, Chris McCann, The Riley New Band, Robin Averill and Joe Turner, Next Generation Leahy and Phil Denault.

Organizers hope to welcome between 30,000 and 40,000 visitors during the Fair. At the request of visitors this year a range of products will be offered with the Fair’s logo, including sweaters, caps and others items.
