Report – Investment of $237, 400 in the Expansion of the Voyageur Cycling Route

A press release was issued regarding an investment of $237, 400 to the Discovery Routes Trails Organization for the expansion of the Voyageur Cycling Route (La Véloroute Voyageur) in Ontario. This three year grant by the Ontario Trilium Foundation (OTF), will allow the Voyageur Route to expand 250km across eastern Ontario: Through Renfrew county and Lanark county including Carleton Place, Almonte, Pakenham, Arnprior, Braeside, Beachburg, Pembroke and Petawawa. The Expansion Project by Discovery Routes is to connect the Voyageur Cycling Route from Sudbury to Ottawa; a 645km trail connecting 29 communities. Currently the Route is 380km spanning across Northeastern Ontario from Sudbury to Deep River. Here’s the report from CHIP Eric O’Brien;
