Replacement of power poles and lines on the 148

All customers of the municipality of L’Isle-aux Allumettes will experience a power interruption of approximately 30 minutes on June 11, while Hydro-Québec will carry out work to replace poles on the power grid.

A second 30-minute interruption is scheduled for the week of June 26, with clients living on Morrison Island can expect to be without power for 8 hours on June 14, 19 and 20. The work will be on both sides of Highway 148 (Waltham Boulevard), between L’Isle-aux-Allumettes and Morrison Island, near the bridge connecting these islands. This will mainly involve excavation, removal and replacement of infrastructure.

Cutting the power will allow the work to be carried out safely. Hydro-Québec will ensure that customers affected by these interruptions are notified in advanced.

The highway will remain open but will be reduced to one lane on June 14, 19, 20 and 21 From 7am to 5pm. The work should be completed by June 21st.
