Renovations will be made in four Pontiac Schools in the next year

The Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais School Board (CSHBO) has informed the CHIP 101.9 newsroom of the renovation projects that will be carried out during the 2019-2020 year in schools across the region.

An investment of $ 3,273,870 from the Government of Quebec for the next school year will allow, among other things, work on the following buildings:

Pontiac:
Sieur-de-Coulonge High School: roofing, replacement of generators
Fort-Coulonge Pavillon Poupore: exterior cladding, upgrading of ventilation systems, replacement of generators
Campbell’s Bay Pontiac Multi-Service Center: Fuel Tank Replacement
Pavillon Sainte-Marie d’Otter Lake: replacing windows and doors

Vallée-de-la-Gatineau:
Cité étudiante de la Haute-Gatineau : Rehabilitation of the greenhouse
Pavillon Sacré-Cœur de Gracefield: refurbishment of the science laboratory and exterior cladding
Maniwaki Christ-Roi Pavillon: repair of the foundation drain, change oil tanks
Laval Pavilion in Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau: change oil tanks
Pavillon Saint-Eugène de Déléage: change oil tanks

Until 2022, the total amount of the grant by the Government of Quebec is $ 8,116,517 for the renovation of the CSHBO schools.

In order to improve the planning of certain building maintenance projects, the Ministère de l’Éducation is providing $ 2,428,454 for the 2020-2021 school year and $ 2,414,193 for 2021-2022. The work for 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 remains to be determined by the CSHBO.

Note that, the Western Quebec School Board will receive a sum of $ 18,691,628.
