5 September 2018 à 12:00 am

Although the Parti Québécois candidate Marie-Claire Nivolon in the riding of Pontiac declined an interview with CHIP 101.9, the Outaouais PQ team unveiled yesterday its regional electoral platform, including the main commitments by the candidates for the next election. The press release issued by the Parti Québécois mentions, among other things, that “the Outaouais needs to expand its economy”. This includes restoring interregional equity in healthcare, social services and community action; to ensure the establishment of a faculty of medicine in 2020; to support the region in its efforts to diversify the economy; to support tourism businesses in the Outaouais; to protect the integrity and quality of the Ottawa River (Chalk River); to recognize the particularities of the Outaouais forests; among others. The provincial election will take place on October 1st.
