Public Consultation in Shawville/Clarendon

Around 20 residents and community representatives including the Mayors of Shawville Clarendon, L’Ile-du-Grand-Calumet, Portage du Fort and Throne were in attendance for the eighth public consultation organized by the MRC Pontiac. Among the priorities of the residents in attendance, the inclusiveness within the 18 municipalities of MRC Pontiac, the environment, the economic development in markets such as tourism, the entrepreneurial leadership and a better internet and cellular connectivity.

Among the new topics brought forward by residents during the Shawville/Clarendon consultation was a cultural identity.

The last two public consultations will take place next week starting on Monday in Mansfield and on Tuesday in Rapides-des-Joachins.
