Hydro-Québec confirmed an increase in the number of power outages in the municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes.

According to Hydro Quebec’s spokesperson, Julie Léonard, faulty equipment could be the cause of the amount of brief interruptions, those last 5 minutes and less.

With regards to the power outages lasting more than 5 minutes, Hydro-Québec plans to study the area in order to find the cause.

CHIP 101.9 will continue to track the power outages in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes in the coming weeks. Almost 60 electricity interruptions have been recorded since the beginning of the year.
