Portage-du-Fort: Edward Thompson is elected Councilman of seat # 6

The municipality of Portage-du-Fort elected Edward Thompson as the new municipal councilman filling seat # 6 during their by-election on March 31st. According to information obtained by CHIP 101.9, Edward Thompson ran against Donald Armitage who received 51 votes, against Thompson’s 57. The potential number of voters was 203.

Note that councillor Allan Farrell, who once filled seat # 6, had left the position vacant at the beginning of October 2018. The by-election was held in Portage-du-Fort in order to fill that vacant seat.
