SUMMER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – PUBLIC WORKS – LANDSCAPING - LABOURER

DESCRIPTION
The public works team of the Municipality of Campbell’s Bay is responsible for the maintenance, repair and cleanliness of public infrastructure, roads and sites. The Municipality sees, among other things, the maintenance of the buildings, parks and green spaces of the municipality. To support daily activities, the Municipality is looking for a youth during the summer to assist with the curbside collection of recycling and garbage, maintain the cleanliness of the premises and beautify the living environment in the municipality.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting with the curbside collection of recycling and garbage
• Maintaining the cleanliness of parks (play areas, ball field, wharf, etc.)
• Maintaining the sports grounds
• Painting
• Mowing grass with small equipment and machinery
• Maintaining the cleanliness of public roads and sidewalks (picking up paper, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS
• The candidate must be between 16 and 30 years old at the start of the job.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to do a variety of manual tasks and handle heavy objects
• Have a good knowledge of the territory of the Municipality;
• Demonstrate discretion, reliability, professionalism and autonomy;
• Have a natural aptitude for good interpersonal relations, based on respect and consideration

DURATION: 8 WEEKS FROM JUNE TO AUGUST
SCHEDULE: MONDAY TO FRIDAY (availability required for certain weekends) - 32 HOURS PER WEEK
HOURLY WAGE: $ 15
