The organizing team of the 2017 Jamboree, which took place between 28 July and 6 August at Patro de Fort Coulonge, reported that the traditional scouting event was a success, that exceeded all their expectations.

Over 250 youth from across the province gathered to camp and, participate in several skill testing events and interact with other scout troops. This year’s theme was Ça existe pour vrai! It really exists! The 12 to 17-year-olds experienced Outdoor activities such as canoeing, hiking, swimming, and cycling.

“The experience has been a success all along the line. The weather was definitely on our side, granting us several days of great sunshine with only a few moments of rain. Our team of a hundred adult volunteers was very generous and competent. The whole community of Fort-Coulonge and its surroundings were also very welcoming to us: a special thank you goes to the Patro de Fort-Coulonge-Mansfield and the Marist brothers, who welcomed us as kings.”
