Notice of boil in Fort-Coulonge and St-Camille area of Mansfield

Due to a break at the drinking water plant, residents of Fort-Coulonge and St-Camille area are asked to boil their water for at least one minute before consumption . This notice is in effect until further notice. Here are some tips given by the Municipality of Fort-Coulonge for the use of water:

Use boiled or bottled water for:
• Drink and prepare beverages (juice, coffee, tea, etc.).
• Prepare baby bottles and baby foods.
• Wash fruits and vegetables that will be eaten raw.
• Prepare foods that do not requiring prolonged cooking (canned soups, sauces, desserts, etc.)
• Make ice cubes.
• Brush your teeth and rinse your mouth.

Use tap water without boiling it for:
• a shower or bath, making sure that children do not drink water.
• Wash infants with a washcloth.
• Wash your hands with hot, soapy water and dry immediately.
• Wash the dishes in hot water with detergent and let them dry. The hottest cycle dishwasher can also be used.
• Laundry.
