On Sunday March 31st, at l’Ancienne Banque in the muncipality of l’Isle-aux-Allumettes, around 40 people were in attendance for the nomination of the Pontiac Member of Parliament, William Amos, as the candidate for the Liberal Party in the Pontiac for the upcoming elections next fall. Notably, a few mayors of the MRC were there, including Winston Sunstrum (l’Isle-aux-Allumettes), Donald Gagnon (Chichester), Doris Ranger (Sheenboro) and Gilles Dionne (Mansfield). The Warden of the MRC, Jane Toller, was also present, as well as the MNA for Pontiac, André Fortin who each said a few words in support of William Amos.

Tonight, the Pontiac MP will officially be nominated at Chelsea pub in Cantley at 7pm in the presence of several Liberal MPs’ including the minister of Environment, Catherine McKenna, the minister of Infrastructure and communities, François-Philippe Champagne, and the Gatineau MP, Steve MacKinnon.
