The No Frills grocery store in Renfrew has changed its hours of operations, starting on March 19th, to allow for more vulnerable customers to shop without the risk of contracting COVID-19.
“We want you to be aware of the steps we are taking to ensure that you, our customers, have access to the goods and services you need”, the company said in a press release.
The store will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays to serve only the elderly, people with reduced mobility and people with weakened immune systems. Other customers are asked to only shop after 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday to Friday and until 6 p.m. on weekends.
As per other measures, No Frills said it has increased disinfection procedures throughout the store, especially on the most affected surfaces, such as shopping cart handles, refrigerator doors, checkout mats and other surfaces.
In addition, bottles and cans returns will no longer be accepted until further notice.
No Frills wishes to acknowledge and thank the work of its staff during this “busy and stressful” period, as well as its customers, who have already shown courtesy and kindness.
