The Shawville Hospital, as well as other health establishments in the Outaouais, will now have new assistants in the management of multidisciplinary and community services, mandated to report the needs of users and facilitate communication with the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de (CISSS) de l’Outaouais’ partners.

In the Pontiac, Nicole Chaput was named as the assistant for the Shawville Hospital

According to Chaput, this position could possibly make a difference regarding the numerous interruptions of service that have affected the obstetric wing in the Pontiac hospital over recent months.

Nicole Chaput will also be accompanied by the hospital coordinator; Gilbert Daoust (acting).

The MNA for Papineau, Minister of Families and Minister Responsible for the Outaouais Region, Mathieu Lacombe, believes this organizational model, that he describes as unique, will allow a certain decentralization of the decision making in the Outaouais’ field of health.

The President and CEO of the CISSS de l’Outaouais, Josée Filion, clarified the procedures in place to enable this organizational model in the various establishments.

In the other establishments, the assistants in the management of multidisciplinary and community services are Frédéric Parizeau (Collines de l’Outaouais), Alexandre Bergevin (Papineau) and Isabelle Labelle-Richard (Vallée-de-la-Gatineau). François-Régis Fréchette will be the coordinator with the hospitals in Maniwaki and Wakefield, while Carl Lavoie has been appointed coordinator for Buckingham.
