National park proposal for Iles Lafontaines in Grand-Calumet Island

30 years ago, an Idea was proposed by business man, Joe Kowalski, who attempted to get national park status to les Iles Lafontaines in the municipality of Grand-Calumet Island. After failing to motivate the public back in the 80′, Kowalski has revitalized the project and says it has great economic potential for the Pontiac:

Before moving forward with the project, Kowalski is scheduled to bring his proposal to the next MRC Pontiac meeting (not open to public):
