Municipality of Pontiac boil water advisory

The boil water advisory issued last week in Fort-Coulonge and Campbell’s Bay have been lifted, water from the distribution system can be consumed without risk or worry.

For the municipality of Pontiac, a notice is still in effect and will be for a few more days. A piece of equipment essential to the operation of the water treatment plant broke last week. The system is currently distributing untreated water. Until the time the advisory is lifted, all residents connected to the Municipality of Pontiac’s water system will be required to boil their water for at least 1 minute before consuming.
