Mansfield woman involved in a series of robberies

A 41-year-old woman from Mansfield was arrested on May 27th in connection with a series of robberies that occurred in the MRC Pontiac between January and April.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) indicated that the woman was released on a promise to appear at a later date at the Campbell’s Bay courthouse, where she could face charges of concealment, production and possession of narcotic drugs for the purpose to traffic it.

A series of searches were carried out on four properties located on Chemin du Lac-de-la-Truite, in Mansfield.

The police seized:
• two off-road vehicles side by side,
• two snowmobiles,
• a 25 foot trailer,
• a motocross,
• more than 2 kilos of cannabis in bulk,
• 16 cannabis plants.

Police officers from the MRC Pontiac station resolved this series of robberies that occurred between January and April last in the MRC, in collaboration with the Investigations Division.

The investigation which has resolved six cases is continuing and more arrests are expected in this case.
