Radio CHIPFM 101.9

CHIP possède une licence de langue française au CRTC et assure par son mandat la promotion de la dualité linguistique au sein du territoire du Pontiac ainsi que celle de la vallée de la Gatineau et du comté de Renfrew, en Ontario.

La station de radio diffuse sur la fréquence du 101,9 sur la bande FM avec un émetteur d’une puissance de 10 KW, lui permettant de diffuser sur un grand territoire.

Afin de servir tous les gens de sa communauté, CHIP FM offre à ses auditeurs, une programmation diversifiée. L’un des buts principaux de la station est de bien informer la communauté avec des nouvelles locales et régionales qui ne sont pas nécessairement diffusées par d’autres médias régionaux. L’équipe entière de la station de radio travaille ardemment afin de faire de sa programmation, une qui reflète bien le portrait culturel, économique, politique, éducationnel et social de sa région”

En tant qu’organisme à but non lucratif, les revenus annuels de CHIP FM sont constitués; d’une subvention provenant du gouvernant provincial, des bingos hebdomadaires, radiothon annuel, ventre de publicités radio, frais d’adhésions ainsi que dons.

CHIP FM aussi connut sous le nom Radio Communautaire de Pontiac a été enregistrée en tant qu’organisme à but non lucratif en juin 1978. La première diffusion en ondes a eut lieu le 1er mars 1981.

Canada Day will be held at Amyotte Park in Mansfield. Sylvain Bégin, Mansfield firefighter, says that the festivities will be held for 3 days with a parade that will involve everyone from the military to the off reserve Algonquin’s:

The Canada Day festivities will raise funds for volunteer firefighters in Mansfield for much needed equipment that will need to be replaced by 2018;

$ 25,000 for ESSC school revitalization projects

School revitalization projects in the Pontiac riding were announced during the summer, $ 29,080 in funding will be allocated, including $ 25,000 to École secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge. National Assembly Member for Pontiac André Fortin says that the combined amount is $69,000 overall:

Raymond Durocher details the kind of campaign he will lead

Yesterday, in a long interview with CHIP 101.9, Raymond Durocher, current Warden of the MRC Pontiac and candidate for the position of warden elected by universal suffrage in the November 5 election, explained his vision and the style in which he will lead. His candidacy means that he will no longer be mayor of Fort-Coulonge after 17 years in this position and more than 25 years on the council. Raymond Durocher explains:

Fort-Coulonge Aquatic Center Project

At the planning session of the Pontiac MRC Council on June 13, elected officials applauded a proposal by Jane Toller, owner of Spruceholme Inn and the Pontiac Conference Center, to build an indoor aquatic center in Fort-Coulonge. The center would include, among other things, a 25-meter-long and 6-lane-wide swimming pool, a therapeutic pool and a whirlpool bath. Golf Tournament for the Cystinosis Research Foundation

This Saturday, June 24 a second golf tournament will be held to benefit the Research Foundation for Cystinosis. The tournament will take place at the Pontefract gold club. One of the organizers of the event, Marthe Drolet, spoke with CHIP explaining the research needs funding.

Marthe Drolet says that the tournament starts at 10 PM followed by a meal and prizes.

Those interested in participating in the Golf Tournament can contact the tournament organizers to purchase their tickets, at a cost of $ 50 for golf and dinner, $ 30 for golf only and $ 20 for dinner only.
