Launching of a Education Table in the Pontiac and the creation of a Housing office for the region

Three months after the Pontiac Forum 2018, the Corporation de développement communautaire (CDC) du Pontiac and the Table de développement social du Pontiac published a special newsletter containing updates on various issues discussed at the Forum. Among other things, the Pontiac Education Table was officially created on January 22nd to work on an Action Plan for School perseverance and Educational Success in the Pontiac. The CDC Pontiac’s director, Michel Vallières, gave more details about the newsletter:

On the potential establishment of a housing office, Vallières said that the work for the creation of the Regional Housing Office (ORH) for the Pontiac is progressing. The project should see the light of day in January 2020, as indicated by Michel Vallières.

The other themes that were discussed during the Pontiac Forum 2018: Healthy Lifestyles, Community Life and Transportation and Economic Development, all of which are still under study. The full interview in French with Michel Vallières is available here.
