Launch of the Leucan Outaouais Shaved Head Challenge

Leucan Outaouais launched today the 18th edition of the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge. The organization invites the public to register at one of the official shaving sites in the region organized by Leucan or to create a personalized challenge, thus making it possible to determine the date, time, location and scope of the Challenge. The spokesperson for Leucan Outaouais is cancer survivor Florence, aged 13. She will take up the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge on May 5th at the Galeries Aylmer.

The Leucan Shaved Head Challenge is a major fundraising activity that mobilizes the community in a spirit of solidarity to offer services to the families of children with cancer. The gesture of shaving your head is a symbolic show of support for children who undergo, during chemotherapy, a change in their body image through hair loss.
