The context of the COVID-19 pandemic made the Warden of the MRC Pontiac suggest that that tending a garden this summer could prevent the scarcity of certain fresh products. This is what Jane Toller mentioned during her daily update to CHIP 101.9, on Friday, April 24, and that she repeated during her updates on Saturday and Sunday. This strategy refers to that of the Second World War and which had been nicknamed the “victory gardens”.

The Warden also said that she closely monitors the current statistics published by the Centre intégré de santé et de service sociaux de l’Outaouais.

Regarding the spring flood 2020, Jane Toller says she is very optimistic even if several elected officials of the region are currently monitoring the situation closely.
