A 26-year-old man was intercepted by the police of the Sûreté du Québec from the MRC Pontiac station on May 24th for a speeding violation on Route 301, in Portage-du-Fort.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m., the suspect was traveling at 175 km/h in a 90km/h area. The man, an Ottawa resident, received a ticket totaling $ 1,609 and 18 demerit points were added to his driver’s license for speeding.
His driver’s license was also suspended for 7 days.
