Inspectors from the Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) went to the Shawville Hospital this week, following a complaint that had been filed concerning food safety.

The food is currently being prepared at the Pontiac CHSLD in Fort-Coulonge, as there are currently renovations in the kitchens of the Pontiac Hospital.

Staff are concerned about the risks associated with transporting food, says union president of the union of health and social services in the Outaouais workers Josée McMillan.

The work being done at the Pontiac Hospital is the result of new measures imposed by the CISSS de l’Outaouais to centralize meal preparation.
