Heat and humidity expected until Thursday

A hot and humid air mass continues to blanket southern Quebec, including all of Pontiac, and is expected to stay that way until Thursday. The Humidex values are expected to remain high, likely between 37 and 40. A change in air mass is expected Friday, and the temperatures will be seasonable but much more dry.

Environment Canada warns that children, the elderly, those working outside and those with chronic illnesses are at the most risk, and advises citizens to check in on those living alone to ensure they stay cool and hydrated.
