Government invests more than $160M in the Outaouais roads

Monday, the ministry of Transportation announced an investment of $160 245 000 in the Outaouais roads for 2019-2021. In the Pontiac, ten municipalities will benefit from this investment. Some of them will be mainly in preparation until 2020. MNA for Pontiac, André Fortin, had a few comments on the new government’s decision:

In the Pontiac, the works planned for 2019-2020 are:
– Fort-Coulonge / Clarendon: Securing road crossings for Off-Road Vehicles (VHR)
– Mansfield/Pontefract: Refurbishment of the Félix-Gabriel-Marchand Bridge on rue du Pont-Rouge
– Municipality of Pontiac: Reconstruction of the culvert on chemin du Lac-des-Loups, above Tracey Creek
Other projects, in preparation, planned to start in 2020-2021:
– Alleyn-and-Cawood: Culvert Intervention Program in the Municipalities of Val-des-Bois, Alleyn-and-Cawood and Ripon
– Campbell’s Bay: Rehabilitation of Front Street between Leslie Street and highway 148
– La Pêche: Asphalting of highway 366, from Chemin des Trois Monts to Chemin de la Caserne
– La Pêche: Rehabilitation of the bridge on Eardley Road, spanning the La Pêche River
– Litchfield: Bridge reconstruction on Bank Road, spanning Wilson Creek
– Otter Lake: Paving of Highway 301 between Highway 366 and Stephens Road
– Municipality of Pontiac: Rehabilitation of culverts on the 3rd Concession in Pontiac and under mtée. Dumouchel in Chénéville
– Thorne: Culvert Intervention Program
– Waltham: Rehabilitation of the bridge on Cahill Lake Road, spanning the Black River.
