Gala for 2020 Readers Choice Awards Live on CHIP 101.9

In the context of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Pontiac Journal has partnered with the MRC Pontiac and Pontiac community radio station to present the winners of the Readers Choice Awards live on the air on CHIP 101.9. In an interview, the director General of the Pontiac Journal, Lynne Lavery explained why the Journal decided to hold the Gala on the air this year.

Each evening, between September 22 and September 24 at 7 p.m., the winners and nominees with be highlighted in the 31 categories starting on September 22 with the winners and runner-ups of the Food and Restaurant category, followed by the Professionals and Other Services category on September 23, ending with the best Retail and 2020 COVID-19 Service awards on September 24.

In addition to Gala being broadcasted on the air, CHIP 101.9 listeners will be able to call in and answer a question about the Gala for a chance to win a Visa gift card each night.
